How to verify your account

YOU'LL NEED:

If verifying as an individual or a non-profit:

1
Your name, date of birth, and current address
2
A scan or clear photo of an ID document registered to you - this can be a passport, government-issued ID or driving licence

If verifying as a business:

1
Your name, date of birth, and current address
2
Your business' name, registered address and Companies House Registration Number
3
A scan or clear photo of an ID document registered to you - this can be a passport, government-issued ID or driving licence
  • If you're a non-profit, you'll need to verify as an individual. Once you've verified you can then add the non-profit's bank account details to receive payouts
  • When uploading the image of your ID, please make sure it's in JPEG or PNG format and is less than 8MB in size. The image must be clear, in colour and show the entire ID, including all edges and corners, with no information covered

Please note:

Verification requirements differ from country to country due to local laws, anti-money laundering checks and other customer due diligence checks. This is assessed on a country-specific basis and we may require more information in order to complete your verification.

How to verify:

  • Enter your details and business details (if registering as a business)
  • Select your ID type and upload the image
  • Press submit

Verification usually takes a few minutes, but please allow up to 72 hours once you've clicked 'done'

As soon as you're verified, you'll be able to add your billing details to start receiving your payouts.

The process follows the same practices as financial institutions (banks or advisors) and solicitors, called Know Your Customer (KYC) or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks. We conduct these checks to securely verify that you are who you say you are, either as an individual or business.

This makes sure we have the correct information before making a payout and increases security for all event planners and attendees using Helm.
