How to verify your account

All new organisers will be automatically enrolled in our new payout service, which provides a more secure and flexible way for you to receive your ticket revenue. The process is simple and follows the same practices as financial institutions (banks or advisors) and solicitors, called Know Your Customer (KYC) or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks. We conduct these checks to securely verify that you are who you say you are either as an individual or business.

When you join Helm Tickets, you’ll need to complete this verification process in order to receive a payout. This ensures that we have the correct information prior to making a payout and increases security for all organisers using our system and your customers.

It takes just 5 minutes and after verification, you’ll be able to customise how often you get paid as well as enjoying the ability to request ad-hoc payouts at the click of a button*.

For more information on why verifying is important and what it is, please see this article.

Please note: If you are a charity, you will need to verify as an individual. Once you've verified you can then add the charities bank account details for receiving payouts.

If you're already registered with Helm Tickets, all you have to do is upload your identity. Helm will migrate the rest of the information over to the new system.

What Next?

Once your details have been submitted, you’ll be redirected to the ‘Account Verification’ page. Your account status will still be ‘Unverified’ until the details submitted have been verified. Usually, this takes 5 minutes but can take up to 72 hours.

Once the details have been reviewed, and if approved, your account status will be ‘Verified’.

Once the verification process is completed and your account has been approved, you can revisit the ‘Billing Details’ page and submit your bank details for payout.

Note: If you're a registering and running events as a charity this is when you enter the bank account details for the charity.

FAQs:

  1. Why do I need to verify my account?
    1. If you don't verify your account, Helm Tickets won't be able to pay you your revenue. Helm requires this information to process your payouts in order with government law. By verifying, you gain access to daily, weekly and monthly payout schedules as well as being able to request a payout whenever you want!

For more information on why you should verify, please check this article here.
  2. My ID verification has been declined, why?
    1. If your ID verification has been declined, this means that either the copy/scan of the ID you uploaded was not clear or in colour. Or that the information you provided is not correct or it doesn't match your ID. We suggest you double check the information and resubmit once more.
  3. I've waited longer than 72 hours, have I been verified?
    1. To check whether you've been verified, please head to the "Account Verification" page and check the message displayed on this page.
  4. I have less than (£$€)75 in total revenues, can I get paid?
    1. Yes! If your total ticket revenues are more than (£$€)75.00 at the time of your requested schedule (weekly, fortnightly, monthly or post-event), you'll get your payout then. If you ticket revenues are under this amount, you can either wait until your next payout date to see if you are over the minimum payout amount, or request a manual payout. If you request a manual payout, it will be subject to a (£$€)2 charge per manual payout requested.
  5. I’m a charity but the verification asks for individual or business information. What do I do?
    1. If you are a charity, please verify as an individual. This is due to the government requiring a CRN (Companies House Registration Number) for business identity checks.
  6. I'm already registered on Helm and I'm receiving payouts. What do I need to do?
    1. If you're already registered with Helm Tickets, all you have to do is upload your identity. Helm will migrate the rest of the information over the new payout structure.

*Ad-hoc payouts, or manual payouts, are subject to a one time fee per payout. Please see the support article for further information on local costs.
